Avoid Doing Things Like This on Your Roof.

Water Pressure – While this is great for cleaning your roof on occasion, maybe after a large storm or to get something to come off the roof, but other than that, you should stay away from this. The reason is because you can actually start to erode the material that is on your roof.

Walking on Your Roof – If you need to get something on your roof, try to avoid at all costs walking on it. If you can reach it with a pole or something else, do that. Not only is this very dangerous, as roof are very slippery, it can also destroy your roof.

Not Cleaning Your Gutters – When you don’t clean your gutters, you are not allowing water to be able to flow off your roof and onto the ground. This will cause water to sit in your gutters and create a breeding ground for things like mold and mildew.

These are all common things that people do all the time without realizing that it can be bad for their roof. If you are unsure what does or does not belong on your roof, you can always call Durafoam Roofing LLC and ask. Have You Considered Getting Flat Roof Installation?

If your roof is in need of repair and you are tired of the current look, consider getting flat roof installation. Not only is it one of the cheapest roofing styles, but it is a common roof type often seen in Arizona where we specialize. Here are some reasons why you should consider getting a flat roof.

Flat Roofs Are A Great Option If You Want A Rooftop Garden

Expense
Flat roofing materials are cheap because they are often applied at once in a single sheet. That means quick installation and you can get back to your day. There are a few flat roof installation materials you can choose from: rubber (which lasts the longest and has the most benefits), gravel (the original flat roof material, but only lasts 15 years), or polymer modified bitumen roofs.

Rooftop Garden
We’ve all envied those homes who have beautiful gardens and greenhouses. Well, now you can be one of them! Flat roofs make great space for rooftop gardens, having room for a patio and walkway detailing.  Rooftop gardens can help air flow in your home, are energy efficient, and are eco-friendly. Discover your green thumb with a flat roof.

Space
Having a flat roof means extra storage! You can put up solar panels to help reduce energy bill, or create a little cabana in the sky. Too much junk in your house? Put all the items that can bear the elements outside and save indoor floor space.

Easy Access
It is also much easier and safe to get up on flat roofs than on other types of roofs because of its flat surface. That means house upkeep like cleaning gutters, getting that stray Frisbee, and checking sidings are a lot more hassle-free and less dangerous.
